Why now
Qualification is becoming the standard.
On 29 September 2026 the Government announced that property agents will be required to obtain a licence to do the job, as well as appropriate qualifications to operate. It hasn't yet said which level or when, and a consultation on mandatory qualifications is expected in 2027. Agencies that qualify their people now avoid the rush and the disruption when it lands. Getting ahead is cheaper and calmer than catching up.
